Colby's 1 Year Checkup

Hi everyone! This is my first post. This is not something I thought I would ever do so we'll see how it goes. I like the idea though of keeping a journal of Colby growing up! He is already a year old and I wish I had this from last year! It would be great to see my thoughts and expectations looking back with a newborn! Anyway just an update! Colby is 1 years old now! His birthday was last week and his party was last Saturday! Both were lots of fun! Its just hard to believe he's a toddler now...officially a BIG boy!


Well today we had his 1 year checkup! He is a healthy, growing boy! I am so thankful that his first year went by with nothing major to report medically. In fact he only went to the doc maybe twice besides his normal checkups! What a blessing! Well today went great. He weighs 25.5 lbs now. Only gained 1 lb since his 9 month. They say that is normal I could even tell that he hasn't gained that much weight. He is so active and mobile these days he works it all off I think. He was 31 1/2 inches. He had also only grown an inch since 9 months too! He is still in the 75% percentile though for both! So he is still a pretty big boy! He got 4 shots today. This was not fun at all to watch. He did well though...he cried during but was quickly consoled as soon as he was back in mommy's arms!


The rest of the day was good...I thought he might be extra cranky after all those shots but so far no different! He took a good nap and was definitely ready for bed by 8:30 tonight! Well that is all the major happenings for now!
