Disney Day 1

We left Thursday to fly out to Disney World. We had to get up really early because our flight out was at 8:55 therefore, we left our house around 6:30. I don't think Colby really had a clue where we were going and was confused why on earth we had him up so early but he was excited and ready to go. He did surprisingly very well for his first flight ever. He sat in his seat the entire time and didn't hardly make a peep. I think he thought flying was very cool! He also really enjoyed the bus ride to the hotel. He ooohed and ahhhed over everything.

We finally got to our resort the Contemporary around lunchtime. We checked in and immediately grabbed some lunch. Colby was excited about getting there. It was a long morning of lots of traveling so it was fun to get to our destination. After lunch we packed up and headed out to the Magic Kingdom. Colby really enjoyed that! We rode the train first and he seemed to get quite a kick out of it. After the train we all rode the Haunted Mansion. At first we thought it would scare him and we thought he was scared because he spent the entire ride hunched over in our laps. Little did we know he had actually fallen asleep. Poor baby was soo tired from all the going to and from he conked out! We tried to get him to stay asleep by putting him in the stroller but that didn't last. Randall, Elizabeth, Austin, and I headed to ride Big Thunder Mountain while my parents kept Colby busy. We went on to ride Splash Mountain as well. My parents stumbled on a cute little play area for Colby and he had a blast! So he got to stretch his legs which was very much needed by that point! After all that we went to ride Its a Small World. Colby really liked this! Then he and I rode Dumbo. I think he also enjoyed that ride as well! By that point it was getting late and we knew he was tired so we headed towards the hotel. Poor baby fell asleep again...this time he fell into a deep sleep. He slept all the way back to the hotel. We had to wake him up eventually though so we could go eat dinner. Needless to say he wasn't happy. Our first dinner was at the Wave in the Contemporary. It was very good and Colby did good for the most part considering the long day he had. We had to bring him up to the room though before dessert came he needed to go to bed. We were so fortunate that he slept soo good there. We didn't hear a peep out of him all night long!
