The Rest of the Week

So the rest of our week leading up to Christmas has looked like this:
Tuesday we did our final shopping outting which consisted of Academy & Gospel Bookstore. Colby enjoyed both outtings and did pretty well throughout except for an almost break away in the parking lot! That gave us all a scare!
The rest of that day we spent at home...Colby's playground was delievered by Santa's Elves that day as well so Austin spent the rest of the afternoon working on it. We brought Colby in the backyard but he didn't know it was a playground yet since it was in so many pieces. That night we watched USM get beat in the Beef O'Brady bowl.
Wednesday Austin and my dad were in full force working on the playground that morning so I decided to get Colby out of the house. My mom and I took him to a playground close to his school so he could burn off some energy! His behavior has been soo different this week after 2 playground trips! He had the best time! Halfway through the visit 2 other little boys came a one year old and a two year old so he had a blast playing with them!
Wednesday after Colby's naptime we went out to Metairie for our church's Candlelight Service. Its been a tradition each year to bring Colby. He has usually done pretty well since its mostly singing. Last night he did well for a 2 year old but he was quite comedic. He yelled YAY after each song and reading, and AMEN after each prayer! He also clapped and talked and walked around. He even took out every single wipe from the package in his book bag...but like I say for a 2 year old he did well in my opinion...Austin only had to take him out once for a quick potty break!
Today (Thursday) Colby and I went to my parent's house to bake cookies for Santa. My mom has a great sugar cookie recipe so we went to make those! Colby loves going over there to play so it was a fun time for us both! Tonight we are going out to eat with Josh and Laura and their baby. Dinner should be interesting with a 1 month old and a 2 year old but we'll have fun!
