Disney Day 3

Saturday was our 3rd day at Disney and we decided to do Animal Kingdom. When we got there the first ride we knew wanted to do was the Safari. I am glad we did because 1) the wait wasn't long and 2) I had read that the animals were most active in the morning. We got to see so many animals...more then any other trip I had taken there. After the Safari we headed to get our Fast Passes for Expedition Everest. They told us to come back around 12:05. So we decided to take Colby into the Dino Land. There he rode the dinosaur spin ride basically its just like Dumbo. He really seemed to enjoy that. Afterwards it was already lunctime so we went and found a quiet place to eat. This was the day Colby seemed to act up the most so we knew he was tired and in much need of a real nap. We decided that after lunch and we rode the rollercoaster we would take him back to the hotel for a nap. He even fell asleep on the bus. It took him a little while to wind down when we got back to the room but once he did he was out for about 2 hours. We were thankful we took half the day off. We didn't get to do much in Animal Kingdom but it wasn't worth pushing him until he was miserable.

That night we had reservations at the Grand Floridian for dinner. Colby was a little antsy at dinner as well. I think he was just soo tired of being couped up. When we finished eating we took him around the outdoor grounds of the resort to let him run around and explore. He loved the antique cars out front.
After we got Colby to bed for the night my parents volunteered to watch Colby while Austin and I went back to the Magic Kingdom. Since we had connecting rooms with them they could just keep their door cracked and listen out for him. It was so much fun going to the park by ourselves! We felt like kids! We rode Space Mountain and Splash Mountain! Then we shopped and bought some souvenirs for Austin's nieces. It was nice to have that time to ourselves!
